Well shit, just found out one of my best friends died unexpectedly today... haven't reached out to his wife yet but damm what a shit way to start the year/week. I'm gonna go have a drink and a cry...

I’m sad for your loss. We all gonna die but when they are close and it happens suddenly, the sadness is worse. Remember the good times you’ve had. And she isn’t sleeping too well so a call at anytime prolly won’t hurt. Do not drink to forget - it will only prolong your agony/embarrassment / memory when you return . A few drinks with his friends might be good though as a way to share the good times.
